Sky has unveiled further casting details for Tinsel Town, its upcoming Sky Original Christmas film set to premiere on Sky Cinema in December 2025. With Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson already confirmed in leading roles, the festive comedy has now expanded its ensemble with a host of acclaimed actors and comedians, promising a heartwarming and hilarious holiday treat.
Sutherland stars as Bradley Mack, a washed-up Hollywood action star who finds himself in a quaint, snow-covered village to take part in the local theatre's eccentric production of Cinderella. What begins as a reluctant career move soon turns into an unexpected journey of self-discovery as he bonds with the town's oddball residents. Rebel Wilson plays Jill, the no-nonsense choreographer determined to keep the production on track, while Katherine Ryan joins as Mack's exasperated agent, navigating his unpredictable career choices.
Adding to the charm of Tinsel Town is an impressive supporting cast, including legendary British actor Derek Jacobi, Meera Syal, Mawaan Rizwan, Jason Manford, Danny Dyer, Alice Eve, Ray Fearon, Lucien Laviscount, James Lance and Asim Chaudhry. Maria Friedman takes on the role of one of the town's colourful residents, while rising star Savannah Lee Smith has also joined the lineup. With an eclectic mix of veteran performers and fresh talent, the film is set to deliver both laughs and festive cheer.
The film is directed by Chris Foggin and written by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown and Piers Ashworth, with additional material from Jake Brunger. Produced by Matt Williams and Pascal Degove at FAE, Tinsel Town is being developed by Sky in association with Future Artists Entertainment, with Mister Smith Entertainment handling international sales.
Julia Stuart, Director of Original Film at Sky, has praised the project's exceptional cast, promising a mix of "magic, mischief, and heart" to delight audiences this Christmas. Producer Matt Williams has echoed the excitement, highlighting the film's blend of warmth and humour, while Mister Smith Entertainment's David Garrett describes Tinsel Town as a "fun ride" with broad international appeal.
With its festive charm, comedic energy and a stellar cast, Tinsel Town is shaping up to be a must-watch Christmas film for 2025. Keep an eye out for its release on Sky Cinema next December.
