Picnik Entertainment and The Movie Partnership are set to release their multi-award-winning film Vindication Swim on all major digital platforms from 10th June, following its successful theatrical run earlier this year.
Vindication Swim tells the inspirational true story of Mercedes Gleitze, the first British woman to swim the English Channel in 1927. The film vividly portrays Mercedes' arduous journey as she braves the cold waters of the Channel and challenges the oppressive societal norms of 1920s England. The plot thickens when a rival claims to have achieved the same feat, compelling Mercedes to defend her record and her legacy.
The film made a notable splash in UK cinemas earlier this year, breaking into the top 20 at the box office and garnering widespread acclaim. Reviewers, including The Language of Film, praised it as "a truly epic independent film on a scale never seen before."
Directed by Elliott Hasler, Vindication Swim features a stellar British cast, with Kirsten Callaghan delivering an award-winning debut performance as Mercedes Gleitze. The film also stars John Locke (Poor Things), Victoria Summer (Saving Mr. Banks), James Wilby (Poldark), and Douglas Hodge (Joker).
Audiences can look forward to the digital release of Vindication Swim on 10th June.
