Fans of documentary cinema and devotees of Lucy Lawless have a new reason to celebrate. The powerful new feature documentary "Never Look Away," directed by acclaimed actress and activist Lucy Lawless, is set to be released in UK cinemas 2 December.

Margaret Moth

"Never Look Away" chronicles the extraordinary life and career of Margaret Moth, a swashbuckling CNN combat camerawoman whose fearless pursuit of the truth took her to some of the most dangerous conflict zones in recent history. From covering the riots following Gandhi's assassination in India to the Persian Gulf War, the Bosnian War, and the 2006 Lebanon War, Moth's story is one of bravery, resilience, and a relentless quest to document the worst of humanity.

The documentary, produced by Kaleidoscope Entertainment, offers an unflinching biography of Moth, presenting both the professional and personal dimensions of her life. It combines dramatic footage from the war zones she covered with heartfelt testimonials from colleagues and family members. These candid interviews reveal the duality of Moth's persona – a trailblazing icon in the field of journalism, yet a self-destructive and emotionally fraught individual off the camera.

Lucy Lawless, known for her roles in "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Ash vs Evil Dead," steps behind the camera for the first time, bringing her unique perspective to Moth's incredible story. Lawless' transition to directing is already garnering praise for its insightful and powerful storytelling.

Promising to inspire and captivate viewers with the story of a woman who never backed down in the face of danger.
