Infectious Review by Paul Downey
‘Infectious’ is a short film telling the story of a virus which takes hold of a family and causes them to attack each other.
The first thing you notice about ‘Infectious’ is that it feels like we have been thrown directly into the middle of a feature film primarily at the time it all hits the fan.
We find the family wondering what has happened to their mother, and as they plot to get the local police forces involved things take a turn for the worse.
Filmed at a break neck pace, things get progressively worse as we wonder who will survive this deadly infection.
The tight location of filming in just one location, a lowly lit house, helps ‘Infectious’ to build tension and use the shadows as the family hunt each other to find out who’s infected.
We end a cliffhanger which only leaves us craving more and also with plenty of questions – which I’m sure was the desire all along.
