PREVIEW: Dark Night of the Soul (2024 Film) Starring Kristanna Loken and Martin Kove

By Jon Donnis

Dark Night of the Soul, the latest thriller from director S.J. Creazzo, is set to make its highly anticipated debut on Amazon this November 12th, 2024, and it promises to be an emotional rollercoaster. Starring Kristanna Loken, best known for her role in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, the film pulls you into a gripping survival tale that is as much about inner demons as it is about survival in the wild.

Loken plays Alex, a scientist trapped both physically in her car after a horrific accident and mentally by the weight of the life-altering decisions she has made. She is not just fighting to stay alive; she holds the key to a cure for a deadly prehistoric bacteria threatening humanity.

Also in the cast is Cobra Kai's Martin Kove, playing Alex's estranged father. Their fractured relationship adds an emotional punch to the story, giving it depth beyond the usual thriller fare. With the tension between them simmering as the world crumbles, Kove's portrayal digs into the raw pain of their past. Paola Paulin, Jesse Kove, Gabrielle Kalomiris, and Courtney Warner round out the impressive cast, each bringing a unique intensity to the screen.

The film was shot against the striking landscapes of Windham and Prattsville, NY, which only adds to the tension. The natural beauty of the surroundings contrasts starkly with the life-or-death struggle happening at its heart. Every shot amplifies the sense of isolation and danger, keeping you on edge as the plot unfolds.

Dark Night of the Soul will also be available on various VOD and Cable platforms, distributed by Glass House Distribution and Entertainment Squad. Keep an eye out; it is sure to be one of those films that stays with you long after the credits roll.
